The Inaugural Jay M. Grodin, MD, Surgical Lecture will be held on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The program will feature guest lecturer Dr. Patrick C. Walsh, the University Distinguished Service Professor of Urology at the Brady Urological Institute of Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, addressing Progress In the Battle against Prostate Cancer. The Grodin Lecture Series is the result of a major endowment gift from Ina and Edwin Tornberg, designed to serve as a tribute to Dr. Grodin’s expertise. Dr. Grodin practiced at Suburban Hospital from 1973 until his sudden death in January 2008. Well known for compassionate care of his patients, Dr. Grodin focused his work on surgical gynecology and infertility.
Womens’ Health Symposium
The annual Women’s Health Symposium is designed to help women take a new approach in improving their health and embracing their wellness. Topics for this year's event, scheduled for Thursday, February 28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., will include cardiology, dermatology, and gynecology.
